看完才注意到SyBartlett编剧，囧，所以这是冷战版TwelveO'ClockHigh，904th(B-52)联队长Caldwell上校承担的职责和所作所为跟TOH里的918th(B-17)大队长Savage将军相似，先撵走基地指挥官再撵走自己副手……有趣的是，次年在电视剧TOH里扮演Savage将军的Lansing在本片中扮演了ChiefEngineer的角色。
剧本质量很高，专业细节丰富，人物互动和故事推进的节奏也很好，遗珠之作。Taylor和Hudson身高发色和片中性格互补得真般配
